John Caulfield (Irish footballer)

John Caulfield (born 11 October 1964) is a former footballer and current manager of Cork City.
The former striker was born in The Bronx and grew up in Roscommon, playing Gaelic football for the county minor team.
He went to school in Summerhill in Sligo and went on to third level in Athlone where he represented the Irish Technical Colleges. While there he joined Athlone Town as a 19-year-old and, playing as sweeper, helped the reserve team win the League of Ireland B Division title. It was also with Athlone that he made what he calls his "three-minute" League of Ireland debut, coming off the bench for the senior team in a game against Home Farm on 27 October 1985.
He moved to Cork to take up a job in 1985. The following year he signed for Cork City from Munster Senior League side Wembley and made his debut in the League Cup against Kilkenny City. Over the next 15 seasons he made a club record number of appearances (455) and is the club's joint all-time top scorer with 129 goals.
Caulfield took over as manager of Cork City on 5 November 2013.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=John Caulfield named as new Cork City boss )
